03 / BUILD YOUR TABLE
Choose your dimensions, hardwood, and finishing details to explore a table built around your home. Send us your selections and project details, and we'll review your design and prepare a personalized quote.
STEP 01 / DIMENSIONS
Choose a supported length and width. Other dimensions can be discussed in a custom quote.
STEP 02 / HARDWOOD
Start with a wood whose natural color you love. Choose walnut for naturally dark tones or white oak for a light look. For a darker stained finish, consider red oak.
Natural oil brings out the wood's own color and grain. Stain adds color, so your hardwood choice still shapes the finished look. Red oak is our recommendation for a stained finish.
Each species brings its own grain, color, and character. Select a wood below for specific finish tips. We review material availability and your preferences before preparing your quote.
Swatches are illustrative. Natural wood varies in grain and color, and finish can deepen its appearance. We confirm your final color with samples.

STEP 03 / BASE DESIGN
STEP 04 / CONSTRUCTION OPTIONS
A long stretcher is a horizontal wooden rail running lengthwise between the table's leg assemblies, below the tabletop. It connects the base and helps resist side-to-side movement while adding a substantial furniture detail.
Consider it if you like a more connected base design. Think about legroom and where your chairs will sit; we review its placement with your design. We confirm its placement and construction with your project quote.
Dutch extension leaves are extra tabletop sections stored beneath the ends of the table. They pull out to extend the dining surface when you need more room, then tuck away for everyday use.
They are useful for occasional guests. The tabletop and base must be designed to accommodate the mechanism, so we confirm compatibility and extended dimensions with your quote. Checking this option includes it in your design request for review.
Extension compatibility is not confirmed for this configuration.
STEP 05 / FINISH
Finish descriptions are general guidance. Final finish and care details are confirmed with the project quote.
STEP 06 / DINING SET OPTIONS
Choose your chairs in sets of two. Mix styles to suit your table: 1 set is 2 chairs, 3 sets is 6 chairs.
Chair selections include sanding, finishing, assembly, and our standard topcoat. Exact paint and stain colors are confirmed during design review.
STEP 07 / DELIVERY
We will confirm delivery availability and any installation needs with your project quote.

04 / CRAFT + MATERIALS
A table becomes part of your home through daily use. The material, construction, and finish all matter.
Tables are built primarily from solid hardwood. Each species brings its own grain and color to the room.
Natural variations, knots, and mineral streaks make each top individual. Material selection is part of the design.
Wood responds to seasonal changes. Construction and joinery choices account for that movement and your table's design.
Choose a finish direction, then confirm the details and care guidance with your quote so you know how to look after your table.
