About 343
What is 343 Co.?

343 Co. is a woodworking and education company creating handcrafted furniture, useful hardwood goods, and opportunities to learn practical skills.

What does “Built With Purpose” mean?

We make useful things, share practical skills, and bring people together through craftsmanship. We value care in the work and the knowledge behind it.

Where are 343 products made?

343 is based in Moberly, Missouri. Product-specific materials and construction details are shared when verified and available.

Is 343 a Christian company?

Christian faith is part of the foundation and values behind 343 Co., particularly our views on responsibility, service, family, workmanship, and how we treat other people.

You do not need to share our faith to purchase a product, learn from 343, or participate in what we build.

Goods & Orders
Where are 343 products made?

343 products are designed, developed, assembled, or built through the 343 workshop depending on the product.

Some products may use components or materials manufactured elsewhere when producing them ourselves is impractical. When we describe something as handmade, American-made, assembled by 343, or built from American materials, we aim to be clear about what that means for that particular product.

Are 343 products handmade?

Products are made through the 343 workshop in small batches. Product-specific materials and construction details vary; check the individual listing for information currently available.

Are your products made in large quantities?

Generally, no. Many 343 products are made in small batches, and some may be produced only periodically.

If something is unavailable, it may return in a future batch rather than remaining continuously in stock.

How does shipping work?

Shipping options and costs are shown during Square checkout. See Shipping & Returns for the current order policy.

How are orders paid?

Shop checkout is handled securely through Square. Your card details are not stored on this site.

What is the return policy?

See the current Shipping & Returns policy for eligibility and instructions.

How should hardwood products be cared for?

Care guidance depends on the wood and finish. Follow any product-specific care instructions, or contact 343 with a question about your item.

Custom Furniture
How do I start a dining-table project?

Start with a project inquiry. Share the dimensions, intended use, material preferences, and any inspiration you have. A finished design is not required.

How does a custom project work?

Start by submitting a project request through the website. We will review the idea, dimensions, intended use, materials, budget, and other requirements.

If the project is a good fit, we will work through the design and provide a quote before fabrication begins. Depending on the project, drawings, models, material samples, or other design information may be provided for approval.

Is a deposit required for custom work?

Yes. Custom projects generally require a 50% deposit before work begins. The deposit reserves the project in the build schedule and allows materials and project-specific supplies to be purchased.

Any project-specific payment and cancellation terms will be provided before the project is accepted.

Can I choose dimensions and materials?

Yes. Dimensions, material preferences, design, finish, and function are discussed as part of the design and quote.

How do delivery and installation work?

Delivery and installation requirements are included in the project quote. Depending on the size, destination, and scope, a project may involve local delivery, freight, pickup, or installation on site.

How long does a build take?

Timing depends on the workshop schedule and the complexity of the project. A timeline will be discussed as part of the quote; no fixed lead time is promised.

Can you build something besides a dining table?

343 also considers select built-ins, cabinetry, shelving, desks, and specialty furniture. See Custom Woodworking for more information.

Field School
What is 343 Field School?

343 Field School is developing practical woodworking education, including fundamentals, project-based learning, field guides, and future hands-on workshops.

Are Field School courses certifications?

Unless a course specifically states otherwise, no.

343 Field School courses are educational and are intended to help people understand and practice useful skills. They should not be interpreted as professional licensing, trade certification, medical certification, or a substitute for training legally required for a particular activity.

Are courses online?

No woodworking courses are currently open for enrollment. Course formats and requirements will be shared with each learning resource when available.

Do I need previous woodworking experience?

Learning is being planned around practical fundamentals. Any prerequisites and required tools will be shared with an individual course when it is ready.

Will hands-on workshops be offered?

In-person workshops are a future offering and are not currently scheduled. Follow Field Notes for updates.
